What is HCC?
The Hampton Community Coalition is an all volunteer nonprofit community action group working to improve the health and well being of Hampton Area children and families, particularly those caught in difficult life transitions or without a permanent home.
Formed in 1995 as a partnership between community volunteers and the Hampton schools, the coalition continues to organize local volunteers and resources in creative ways, building a caring community that responds to the needs of others.
In uncertain times, a small crisis or a bit of bad luck can quickly turn life into a daily struggle. Because the cost of housing in Southern NH is among the highest in the nation, local families with few options often turn to Hampton for temporary shelter during the winter season. The absense of public transportation further complicates life for those without a car.
Because HCC operates entirely with volunteer energy, EVERY DOLLAR donated goes directly to Hampton families in need.
